Why This Site

This site is borne from a desire to meet the needs of students.  My initial focus was iPad specific; however, there are amazing opportunities throughout the Apple Ecosystem.

I was also encouraged to build a resource site because I am passionate about this work and don’t have the personal capacity to help everyone individually.

To support educators including admin, teachers, education assistants, and parents, to be aware of accessibility options, and know how to access opportunities for learners.

In my context, we have several thousand students in over 125 schools with over 200 educators charged with supporting students with special needs.  Expertise and skill levels are diverse among staff.  The demographics of needs within each school is unique.

Time is short; however, we have access to amazing accessibility tools available in schools with any device in the Mac ecosystem.
